All distances are given in metres. For distances in map tiles, simply halve the figure given.
Definitions given in bold italics are provisional and / or speculative.

| Speed | Movement speed in metres per second. |
| Endurance | Also known as health points. Damage reduces health, at zero the unit is destroyed. |
| Armour | Stops this much damage each attack. Does not affect goo or Psyker damage. |
| Size | General size of the unit. Larger units are easier to spot and hit. |
| Weapon Range | Effective weapon range in metres. |
| Weapon Speed | Projectile speed in metres per second. |
| Reaction Time | The number of seconds a unit takes before it can start firing after spotting an enemy. |
| Aim Time | The number of seconds taken for each shot or attack. |
| Prepare Weapon | Amount of Aim Time expended before the attack is made, in seconds. |
| Rest Weapon | Amount of Aim Time expended after the attack is made, in seconds. |
| Damage | Damage varies randomly for each attack between 50% and 150% of average. |
| Accuracy | The average deviation from true for a weapon shot, in degrees. NB Higher is worse. |
| Ammunition | For Greys this is called energy since it represents both ammunition and their shields. |
| Ammo per Shot | Some Grey units use more than one ammunition point for each shot. |
| Reaction Range | The distance a unit will react at, in metres. |
| Vision | The distance a unit can see, in metres. |
| Visibility | Acts as a multiplier on enemy vision range for spotting this unit. |
| Food Value | The number of eggs a Queen would be able to lay after eating this corpse. |
| Corpse Endurance | Resistance of the corpse to destruction by explosions. |
| Sighting Reaction | Default initial sighting reaction. |
| Combat Reaction | Default initial combat reaction. |

| Reload Rate | The number of seconds required to reload or recharge fully. |
| Psychic Resistance | Fraction between 0.0 and 1.0 representing reduction in damage from Psyker attacks. |
